6/4/08: Dale will be back on board the Rez X Racing Ski-Doo’s again for the 08-09 season and will be joined by two new Semi-Pro Riders: Mike Tietjen #418 and Brandon Blair #222, We look forward to having them as Teammates. As of right now we have one new Sponsor on board, CJ Motorsports will be our Ski-Doo dealer for the coming season.
6/21/08: We are working on my race car again, Our plans had changed for racing this summer but we are back on track again and I have set a date of August 2 for the car to hit the track. I have picked up some great sponsors to help out and make it possible. As of right now I have picked up Fox’s Discount Parts & Aaron Excavating. Please visit there sites and see there great products and services ! Dale and I have been working on the car almost every night and every weekend for a while now and are getting closer to completion. I will be racing in the true stock class at the Adirondack International Speedway. I will post some pictures as soon as possible, We have been working every spare moment on the car and haven’t taken many pictures. When the car is done and on the track, Dale will be handling the duties of crew cheif with David Damuth as one of the wrench men. Check back soon to see what’s going on.
7/13/08: The motor is in, tranny, driveline, rear end and brakes are hooked up. next is wiring and gauges. We should be firing the motor on the 19th. then I will be building the exhaust.
8/2/08: Tonight was to be my first race but it got canceled due to rain. probably just as well because I only got 15 to 20 laps of practice before having driveline trouble, I would like more track time before racing. Well should be racing on the 9th so check back after that.
8/10/08: My first race didn’t go as I had hoped which was a top five finish. it started out pretty good with me starting the feature in 12th spot and had worked my way to 6th when I got tagged in the left rear quarter panel spinning me out and got hit, that tore the nose of the car almost completely off, I got the car fired up and went in the pits where Dale My brother and some guys from other teams pulled the nose off the rest of the way and sent me back out. I restarted the race in 11th and finished 8th. I had fun and learned alot about the track. A big thanks goes out to the guys that helped us out. When we left the track we headed straight for the emergency room because Dale was in pain and ended up getting surgery to remove his appendix. Im not sure if I will be able to get the car done in time for next weekend without Dale. He will be out of commission for a couple weeks.
8/18/08: This past weekends racing was’nt very successful for me but I did feel more comfortable in the car. We made some wrong adjustments for the feature and had a terrible push. I am getting some help from another racer who lives close by and knows the track well which should make a huge difference considering this track is really different from the track I raced before. I will be racing again this weekend on the 23rd. sorry no pic’s or video.
8/25/08: Our night of racing was a pretty interesting one, we made a lot of changes to the suspension and weight position through the week and really had no idea what we had. In hot laps I had such a bad push that it was scary to drive the car. Dale made some changes before our heat race and wanted to make more of a change but I didn’t want to make as big a change as he wanted to, in the end he went ahead and made the setup change anyway, well he made the right choice because the car was pretty good. I started on the inside of the second row and ran 3rd for a while, I drove into turn 3 too hard and got passed by two of the top runners. it took me a couple laps to catch back up to them but once I was there I didn’t have enough to get back by. My new buddy from down the road has been helping me out a bunch and it has made a big difference. THANKS Jason !! and congrats on your second win in a row. We are changing the cam and intake this week because I'm down on power to most of the cars but I need new tires and cant afford them so I will be at a disadvantage next weekend. My crew did a super job again this week ! Thanks Guys.
